Five Karamay schools were honored as "National football schools" on October 13.

The five schools are Karamay No 1 Primary School, Karamay No 6 Primary School, Karamay No 7 Primary School and Karamay No 2 Middle School and Karamay No 6 middle school.

The schools all made great achievements during recent years. A football team from Karamay No 6 Primary School won the championship in last year's Xinjiang Youth Football League and also won 5th place in an international tournament in Sochi, Russia.

Other schools also cultivated excellent players.

Thanks to the titles, these schools will benefit from national policies on school football teaching, training, competition, recruitment and funds.

The state will encourage football development according to the national standards. More young football players will benefit from the policies.
