CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--On December 4th, the Chongqing Squash Open 2016 concluded at the squash stadium on Changbin Road. The Beijing USS Squash Club and CQ Bourgeois & Bohemia Squash Club were the big winners, with first and second places of men’s groups A and B and women group.

Squash originated in the UK 200 years ago and became popular in Chongqing in recent years. Due to high calorie consumption and indoors playgrounds, squash is popular and was praised as one of the ten “healthiest sports” by Forbes and the “King of Indoor Sports”.

The Chongqing Squash Open has been held from 2007 but suspended for years due to contestant and organizer reasons. In recent years, with the increase of squash players and the support of the Chongqing Social Sports Guidance Center, it was held again.
