Fengshan builds sightseeing paths

2016-12-16 09:32:57

Fengshan in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region is a county of typical Karst formation, with 70 percent mountain cover.

Climbing mountains in the early morning to appreciate the sunset or the ethereal mist is a routine among local residents.

Stairs reaching 4 kilometers beside Poxiongbao Mountain and Yuanyang Spring are planned to bring more convenient access for those doing morning exercises in neighboring regions.

According to the Fengshan tourism bureau, the extra 4-km stairs will be built around Wenbi Mountain and Yunfeng Cave, two popular local tourist attractions, to improve the access and attract more tourists.

"Fengshan is an ideal place to appreciate the misty scenery, now that mountains here are enveloped by ethereal morning mists from the area's high altitude and the humid climate," said a worker from the local tourism bureau.
