Zhuoshui Ancient Town
It is a small town built in Tang Dynasty along a river and thriving since Song Dynasty, but gradually on the decline after the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is one of the most famous ancient towns in southeast region of Chongqing. Going through the square, you will see a teahouse called Chunlai at the entrance of the old street. Many stores selling local snacks can be found in the town. The town is very quiet without being heavily commercialized and the local people are friendly.
Train: South Square of Chongqing North Railway Station to Qianjiang Station; or rent a car to Zhuoshui Ancient Town.
Bus: take a bus at Sigongli Traffic Hub or Longtousi Coach Station; transfer at Qianjiang Passenger Station to a bus to Zhuoshui Ancient Town.
Self-driving: get on G65 Baotou - Maoming Expressway from Chongqing Inner Ring at Jieshi and leave from the expressway at Zhuoshui Interchange (accessible in October); drive 26km along G319 after leaving from West Qianjing Interchange.
