Hong’an Ancient Town

Hong’an Ancient Town is located at the junction of Chongqing, Hunan and Guizhou. It is separated by a river with Chadong, a border town of Hunan and also the prototype of Shen Congwen’s outstanding novel, Boarder Town.

It is the land of idyllic beauty depicted by Shen Congwen. Quiet and peaceful, Hong’an is a good place for relaxation. You must try the local dishes and cannot miss the boiled fish with pickled vegetable and chili.
