Yuzhong District

It is the center of Yuzhou (Chongqing). “Yu” is short for Chongqing and “Zhong” means the center. Yuzhong District was changed from Shizhong District in 1995.

Dadukou District

There is a free ferry along the Yangtze River. In the late Qing Dynasty, a gentry of Baxian set free ferries along the Yangtze River and this ferry was the largest, called “Dadukou” (the largest ferry). It became a district in 1965.
