1. Chongkan, Tongnan

Driving route: Chongqing – Chongqing – Suining Expressway – Down at Shuangjiang, Tongnan – Shuangchong Highway – Chongkan (about 140km and 2.5-hour drive)

Chongkan, Tongnan can be called the most famous rapeseed flower site in Chongqing. With rapeseed flowers in the field of 300,000 mu (about 49,421.1 acres) competing to blossom each spring, one can see rapeseed flowers matched with changing rural views from any angle by taking a boat up or down the Qiongjiang River. Among the views, the Taiji pattern with a diameter of 236m formed by wheat and rapeseed flowers is a landmark view of the scenic spot.

2. Sanxiu Community, Dongcheng Sub-district, Nanchuan

Driving route: Chongqing – Chongqing – Hunan Expressway – Down at Dongsheng, Nanchuan – Yinhe Avenue – Sanxiu Village (about 100km and 1.5-hour drive)

Sanxiu Community, commonly known as Three Sisters Village, is located in the northeast of the urban area of Nanchuan. The rapeseed flowers there are distributed on the flat field of 10,000 mu (about 1,647.37 acres) with both gurgling rivers and a wide expanse of flat land. The criss-crossed farm tracks and beautifully arranged irrigation canals have divided the rapeseed field into big and small flower fields.

3. Shaping Town, Dianjiang

Driving route: Chongqing – Chongqing – Yichang Expressway – Down at Dianjiang – 102 Provincial Highway – Shaping Town Rapeseed Flower Viewing Garden (about 150km and 2-hour drive)

In Dianjiang, in addition to the peony flowers known far and wide, the rapeseed flowers in Shaping Town also enjoy great fame in Chongqing. Shaping Rapeseed Flower Viewing Garden is 11km from the county seat and is the largest high-quality rapeseed production base in Chongqing. Each spring, thousands of mus (1 mu is about 0.165 acres) of golden rapeseed flowers bloom at the same time, forming an intoxicating landscape painting together with the green mountains, clear waters and farmhouses.
