Resident Evil series to say goodbye, recalls memories of film fans

CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--After 15 years, the final film of the Resident Evil series adapted from a famous game is finally coming. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (hereinafter referred to as Biohazard 6) is set to be released in Mainland China on February 24th.

The film has the longest vitality among films adapted from games.

Since the first film of the series, adapted from a Japanese game, was released in 2002, six films have been released and have accumulatively raked in a box office of over 1 billion US dollars around the globe, becoming the series with the greatest longevity among Hollywood films adapted from games.

Five years have passed since the release of Biohazard 5. As the final chapter of the series, the story starts with Alice falling in danger after Wesker’s betrayal in Washington DC. With mankind about to lose the last hope, as the only survivor as well as the last line of defense of mankind to resist the zombies, Alice must return to Raccoon City, the place where the nightmare started, to accomplish her righteous mission of saving the world and mankind.

As reminiscence, the landmark scenes of the last five films, such as Death Laser and the Hive of Umbrella Corporation, will be interspersed at times. With the return of classical characters such as Dr. Isaacs, Claire and Wesker, such mysteries perplexing the fans such as the source of Red Queen, the intention of Umbrella Corporation for throwing in the T virus and the true identity of Alice all will be solved in the last chapter, giving a complete finality to the fans while presenting “Easter Eggs” full of feelings.
