Bestselling hotpot condiment brands in Chongqing online

CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--As one of Chongqing’s calling cards, Chongqing hotpot has swept the entire country. Hotpot condiments have quietly entered the national market, with breakthroughs in sales on e-commerce platforms made in recent years. Recently, the Chongqing E-shops Association, joined by the Chongqing Zhihui E-commerce Planning Research Institute, released the Big Data on Chongqing Specialties: Hotpot Condiment Report (hereinafter referred to as Report). The Report was obtained from monitoring data on Taobao.com on condiment brands in the last four months, with Morals Village and Qiao Tou becoming the hottest hotpot condiment brands in the city, with both sales amount and volume at the top of the list. The hotpot condiment brands with a price of 20-50 yuan/bag are the favorites on the market.

The Report showed in sales of the last four months, Morals Village hotpot condiment ranked first on the list with 10.8 million yuan, followed by Qiao Tou hotpot condiment with 8.5 million yuan, with Deyi, Qinma, Badinghong, Maoge, Qiu Xia, Liuyishou, Zhoujunji and Yu Zhen ranking the third to the tenth places respectively. In sales volume, Morals Village and Qiao Tou still took the top two places, with a volume of 719,400 and 456,600 bags respectively, and brands like Qiu Xia, Maoge, Qinma, Zhoujunji and Liuyishou also made the list.

Seen from the sales on Taobao.com in the last four months, hotpot condiment brands with a price of less than 10 yuan saw the highest sales volume (745,300 bags) but a low sales amount of 5.2 million yuan. Those with a price of 20-50 yuan saw a medium sales volume (563,400 bags) but the highest sales amount of 14.9 million yuan. Seen from the weight, those with a net content of 300-600g saw a relatively high sales volume and amount of 1.1 million bags and 17.6 million yuan.

The Report pointed out that seen from sales volume and amount, there was a difference in the online and offline popularity of Chongqing hotpot condiment brands. The hotpot industry still needs to improve the network marketing techniques and build online brands. In addition, since hotpot condiment brands with a price of 20-50 yuan saw medium sales volume but high sales amount, they are expected to become the major network marketing products for improving the values of Chongqing hotpot condiments.
