CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--Lately, the WeChat Moments of quite a few Chongqing citizens have been filled by messages about a dog returning money found. According to the news spreading online, a dog in Wanzhou picked up a wallet with its mouth and took it directly to a police station. Quite a few netizens praised that a dog also had the spirit of returning money found and exclaimed “I may have raised a wrong dog”. What’s the truth of the story? Wanzhou Police was contacted for confirmation.

It turned out that on February 13, the Guanyinyan Police Station of Wanzhou District Public Security Bureau received a call from a citizen surnamed Peng claiming he had picked up a wallet. After receiving the call, the police immediately went to Mr. Peng’s to recover the wallet, but what they got was a ragged wallet. Mr. Peng explained the wallet had been brought back by his dog named Heier.
