Campaign launches to promote medical city

2017-03-02 09:31:02

A campaign was launched in Wenjiang’s Chengdu Medical City on Feb 24, aimed at promoting the area and its most talented people.

Chengdu Medical City is a 37-hectare area in Yongning town of Wenjiang, aiming at providing world-class medical services and becoming an international hub for the health industry.

The campaign takes a grassroots approach, inviting residents to help promote the area on several fronts, the first being a photo competition to capture the area in a perfect light or from a new angle.

Residents are also being encouraged to design promotional posters for the medical city, with the winning entries being used in future publicity campaigns.

The city is also on the lookout for talented entrepreneurs who can be profiled and featured in a new short film which is to be produced later in the year.

The final front on which residents can participate is a contest to find the medical city’s most talented people. Those wishing to enter need to submit a short video explaining why their talents and special skills and how they benefit the area as a whole.

The competition will run for three months with winning entries receiving prizes valued from 1,500 yuan ($218.2) to 5,000 yuan.

“The campaign helps to advance industrial development and welcome more talents and enterprises, making Chengdu Medical City a key engine in the drive to become one of China’s top cities,” said Zhang Zhijun, member of the district committee.

Launched in 2008, Chengdu Medical City promotes the integration of research and development in medical science, medical treatment and pharmaceuticals industries.

Over 53 health enterprises have settled in the city, including Yishan Biotechnology and Baili Pharmaceutical Group.
