Chongqing artists’ works displayed in NAMOC

Photographic installation works of “Postindustrial Age”

CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--The “Harmony in Diversity: Fu Wenjun Photography Show,” organized by the Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and planned by Professor Peng Feng of the School of Arts at Peking University will open on March 9th at the National Art Museum of China. There will be 57 photographic works in five series made by Chongqing Artist Fu Wenjun on display.

It is known that Fu is first Chongqing photographer to hold an individual exhibition at NAMOC in nearly 10 years. The exhibition will last until March 19th.

The exhibition will display five photography works: “Harmony in Diversity”, “West Wind of Last Night”, “Game”, “Telepathy” and “Postindustrial Age”. The “Telepathy” displays the elements of Chongqing Dazu Rock Carvings; the large video installation work “Postindustrial Age” displays the mountain, bridge, building and development of heavy industry in Chongqing; and “Harmony in Diversity” combines the pictures of Chinese classical landscaping and Western sculptures in the same period.

It is reported that Fu Wenjun has won many international art awards including the Gold Award at the Argentina International Biennial Contemporary Art Exhibition; the World’s Best Artist of Eiffel Tower Exhibition and the Lorenzo International Art Award of Florence International Biennial Contemporary Art Exhibition.
