CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--Recently, the cycle tracks in Chongqing College Town was covered in a new color. The 10km cycle tracks in Daxuecheng Middle Road, Daxuecheng East Road 1, Qingnianguangchang Road and Yide Road in the College Town have taken on a new look. A spokesperson from the Shapingba District said that it was a part of the College Town slow-traffic system demonstration project built by Shapingba municipal engineering.

Most of the cycle paths renewed were black asphalt pavements before, which have no difference from motorway and lack of obvious road markings. The area of the colored pavements is over 42,000 square meters, crossing through the College Town and connecting the colleges and universities. New environmentally-friendly pavement materials were adopted this time, the adhesion and contractility of which are superior to those of traditional pavement materials.
