Wenjiang signs construction agreement with WuXi AppTec

The Wenjiang district government signed a contract with WuXi AppTec on March 9, agreeing to construct a clinical experiment center in the Wenjiang district.

Established in December 2000, WuXi AppTec is a pharmaceutical, bio-tech and medical device research and development outsourcing company.

According to Wang Daoming, secretary of the Wenjiang district Party committee, this first cooperation contract between WuXi AppTec and Wenjiang district is of historic significance for the development of Wenjiang’s Chengdu Medical City.

Chengdu Medical City, a 37-hectare area in Yongning town of Wenjiang, is aimed at providing world-class medical services and becoming an international hub for the health industry.

At the ceremony, chairman of WuXi AppTec Li Ge shared his hopes of further cooperation with the Wenjiang district in promoting the district’s integration of the medical science, medical treatment and medicine production industries. Li also pointed out that the clinical process is an important segment of medicine research and development, and it is also WuXi AppTec’s business focus for the next following years.
