CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--People often regard food as a prime desire, as do Chongqing people. “Delicates” is one of Chongqing’s features. On March 15th, the Chongqing Planning Bureau and Chongqing Geographic Information Center jointly released the “Chongqing Foods Streets Map” which contains 68 food streets in Chongqing.

From Jiefangbei - the urban center to Chengkou County - the deep of Daba Mountain, there is a food street in every district and county. The seasoner of food streets senses the various society; the flavor of food streets is the taste of life.

Introduction to some food streets

1. Food street at Bayi Road, Jiefangbei

The food street of Bayi Road is the most famous one in the main districts, close to Jiefangbei and easy to find. There are Chongqing characteristic foods including Pangzima ChuanChuan, Haoyoulai Hot and Sour Rice Noodles, Shancheng little sweet dumpling, Wang Duck. After having delicious foods, you can shop in the malls and luxury stores in Jiefangbei or enjoy the night scene at Hongyadong.

2. Food street at Keyuan, Jiulongpo District

With more than 20 years’ history, it is an old food street in Chongqing and is one of Chongqing’s landmarks for food. There are over 200 restaurants on the street, containing various kinds of cuisines like Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine, seafood, hot pot and stockpot.
