Qianjiang: picturesque Apeng River in spring
CHONGQING(CQNEWS)--A tiny rowboat is afloat on the Apeng River, forming a graceful landscape painting accompanied by the high mountains, dwellings, flowers and birds.
Apeng River, the largest tributary of the Wujiang River, flows southwestward into the Wujiang River at Gongtan Ancient Town via Qianjiang and Youyang from the northeast, enjoying a length of 249km. Since the River flows in between high mountains, a unique and deep valley landform is thus created naturally and therefore becomes a lovely scenic area.
Apeng River Wetland Park was approved to be a “National Wetland Park” in August 2016 by the State Forestry Administration. It is the home of many rare animals and plants such as giant salamanders and otters; and the community of Distylium chinense unique to China can also be found there.
As the rape flowers on both sides of the River blossom, Apeng River is just like a natural gallery of flowers and forms a picture with unique dwellings along the riverbanks.
Numerous tourists have been attracted by its scenery to go for a spring outing and enjoy the wonders of nature there. (Translated by Xu Mengmiao, Fathom Language Limited)
