Recently, the reporter learned that a 78-year-old Chongqing artist had completed her huge painting series Five Thousand Years. The Five Thousand Years consists of 200 huge traditional Chinese paintings, covering all of Chinese civilization.
For inheritance of 5000-year civilization, 78-year-old female artist creates 200 traditional Chinese paintings.
Jiang Bibo, 78 years old, a graduate of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, is a former Dean and Professor of School of Art and Humanities at Chongqing University, with her magnum opus, Fierce Battle at Luding Bridge included in primary school textbooks. Her Gele Mountain Martyr Statues, created in 1980, won Best Work in the First National Urban Sculpture.
The Five Thousand Years is a huge parting series created by Jiang Bibo, consisting of 200 traditional Chinese paintings (5-meter-long, 2-meter-wide) with historical events, notabilities, cultural inheritance and fairy tales from the ancient times to the founding ceremony of the PRC as creation resources.
