2017-03-21 09:52:27

Surrounded by sounds of Guqin, the Professor Huang Sheng, the Head of the Performance Department of Meishi Film Academy of Chongqing University and the boys from Changshou District chanted 10 poems of flowers (including oriental cherry, plum blossom, peach blossom and others). The master of ceremonies and deacons slowly walked on the stage to present flowers. Washing hands, putting on hairpins and crowns, saluting, worshiping (parents, teachers and the Yellow Emperor), listening to teachers’ edification and chanting, 100 Chinese and foreign students took part in the traditional ceremony and experienced the cultural concept of “Being a upright man before learning skills”.

Foreign youth students were experiencing the traditional Chinese decorum and rite.

There were seventeen students from Italy present. “We were curious about the traditional culture and expected to wear Han Costume and experience the traditional ceremony,” said Cuccia Annalisa. She came to the Sichuan International Studies University three weeks ago with other Italian students and will stay there for a term as an exchange student.
