An online management platform to assist in organizing activities to promote national unity is expected to be ready by the end of March, local media reported on March 17.

The online platform will support local government in its efforts to promote national unity, making it easier for officials to input information and make reports and charts. Officials will be able to access more accurate statistics and check information faster.

A smartphone APP relating to the management of national unity activities will also undergo trial operations at the end of this month and be promoted in other districts of Karamay from the beginning of April.

The local government began research and development into using the internet to promote national unity in January. The management platform will become the first online system in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to promote national unity activities.

The platform will provide advantages to ethnic minorities involved in national unity activities and increase the efficiency of government officials.

The provincial government hopes that the platform will make organizing activities to benefit ethnic minorities living in the district easier, and enable the government to better serve local residents.
