Seven-stars Bridge repaired in Guizhou

2017-03-28 09:37:57

The Seven-stars Bridge, an ancient stone bridge in Sanglang town, has been repaired by the Communications Department of Guizhou province. Beginning in June 2016, the repairs required a financial allocation of 1.15 million yuan ($167,006). The 62-meter-long and 7-meter-wide Seven-stars Bridge was first built in 1823 during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1901), and named after its seven arches. Stretching over the Sanglang River, the Seven-stars Bridge is a key cultural relic of Guizhou province. It is now open to traffic again after the repairs.[Photo/zgqxn.com]
