2017-03-28 09:59:41

On October 8th, 2014, upon sunset and moonrise, a lunar eclipse was seen from Chongqing. In this combo photo formed by multiple exposures, there is a string of gradually rising moon trails, starting with the dull-red totality of the moon near the horizon in the east, with the moon trials getting brighter and brighter with the moon slowly rising behind the colorful lights along the Yangtze River bank. The trail finally ends with the last contract, where the bright moon completely leaves the umbra of the earth. (Photo provided by the curator, and photographed by Zhou Yannan)

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On March 25th, the One World One Sky Astrophotography Exhibition opened at the Shanghai Astronomical Museum. Some thirty astrophotographers from all over the world presented the “most beautiful starry skies” all over the world to visitors. One of the photos on display was taken in Chongqing by Dai Jianfeng, one of the curators.

What kind of photography exhibition is it? The exhibition features 40 beautiful works, such as the Mirror of the Sky in Bolivia, the aurora in Greenland of the Arctic, the “Milky Way” rising from the Yellow Stone Park and the lunar eclipse over Chongqing, China. Countries like Chile, Portugal, Japan, Sweden, Brazil and Canada all have been left with the footprints of these astrophotographers.
