CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “Given 100 days, it gives back 2,000 years!” After closing for over 100 days for upgrading and renovation, the Chongqing Youyang Taohuayuan Scenic Spot, a national 5A level tourist attraction, formally opened to tourists on March 22nd and welcomed the first weekend after its opening on March 25th. In only two days, over 40,000 tourists have “travelled back to the Qin and Jin periods to enjoy the Peach Blossom Spring”.

Since the upgrading of the scenic spot began, it attracted the attention of tourists. The reopening of the scenic spot has made Youyang become the first choice of a number of tourists. Upon the trial operation on March 18th alone, over 16,500 tourists from all over China flocked to the scenic spot, with the popularity maintained for the subsequent several days.

On March 25th and 26th, it happened to be the first weekend after the reopening of the scenic spot. With the weather being fine peach blossoms opening, a new flood of tourists have been attracted to the scenic spot. According to statistics, the scenic spot received 22,300 and 18,300 tourists on March 25th and March 26th respectively. The number of tourists has exceeded 40,000 within just two days.

There are many people, but they are in good order. It is busy but not noisy. This is the first impression the upgraded Taohuanyuan has left on tourists. Different from the poor tourist experience due to overcrowding in many scenic spots, though it is crowded with tourists after its opening, Taohuayuan is still in good order. The flocks of tourists haven’t “disrupted” the peace and harmony of the “Shangri-La”. Taohuayuan with colourful fallen pedals, well-arranged houses and fine fields and farms with bamboo and mulberries has made tourists truly experience the Qin and Jin style that is unique in the world.
