CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Huguang Guide held the Emperor Yu Sacrifice on March 31, and attended by many citizens, spreading the traditional culture.

At 10:00 in the morning, hearing the drum and bell as well as melodious music here, a master of ceremony in traditional Chinese clothing stood on the platform and held the activity. Led by the master, the participants washed their hands, removed dust, presented a bouquet… They finished 13 rituals in turn, appreciated by many citizens and tourists.

This is a traditional folk culture activity. The system and formalities include sacrificial offerings, devices, music, dance, paper and others containing the rich traditional Chinese culture. Yue Jingzhu, master of the ceremony, told the reporter that the immigrants from Huguang to Chongqing and their descendants gathered there to remember Emperor Yu and their ancestors, and pray for safety, forming a traditional folk culture activity.
