There were two champion scholars in Chongqing – Feng Shixing and Pu Guobao.

Love for chilies for almost two hundred years

Chilies were not spread around the world until the European colonialism arrived at America. Residents in Hunan and Sichuan began to eat chilies commonly from 1796 to 1820. To this end, love of Chongqing residents for chilies has lasted for almost 200 years.
