Reputable baozi in Chongqing, as popular as Chongqing noodles

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Many Chongqing people can’t live without noodles for breakfast and always eat noodles on plastic stools. However, for some people who arrive at the office in the nick of time, compared with milk and bread, they prefer baozi (steamed stuffed bun) suitable for Chongqing people’s taste. At many corners of streets and lanes, the air is filled with the aroma of baozi, which make people’s mouths water.
Chibukui (吃不亏)
A shop, open 24 hours a day, has been opened for at least seven or eight years. At the beginning, a steamer of baozi costs RMB 2 and the shop, which was a typical greasy spoon, was undecorated. Now it has been decorated and the environment improved. Its specialty is small baozi, RMB 3 a steamer. There are five baozi in each steamer. The baozi are very small and you can eat one in a single bite. It also serves a great variety of rice, noodles and rice noodles. It is an old and famous shop in Three Gorges Square.

Jiuyuan Baozi (九园包子)
A state-run old shop, it is known as one of the top ten famous for baozi. You can buy take-away food downstairs or eat upstairs at the Zhongshan 4th Road shop. Except for the shop at Zhongshan 4th Road, other shops of Jiuyuan Baozi also serve various Chongqing traditional special snacks, such as oil tea and sticky rice cakes. A sauced meat baozi costs RMB 3.5 now. It is still big and stuffed with sufficient sauced meat, and the baozi skin is chewy.
