Cai Wei, a lab teacher in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, is mainly in charge of lab management and computer maintenance. However, she loves painting very much.

When she returned to Chongqing from Germany twenty years ago, a friend taught her a love of painting. She bought a painting album for drawings and taught herself, sharing her work with friends. She began to create oil painting seven years ago. Walls, wood cabinets, desks, chairs, bottles… You can see her practice everywhere in her room.

When she saw the work of Yang Feiyun – Wife, she wanted to create works about the female. Cai said, “I like to show the beauty of Chinese females via their expressions, poses, clothes and other details”.
