Cao Xuetao, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Qiang Boqin, academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Wenjiang district of Chengdu on April 10 to inspect the development of the local biomedicine industry.

The Mental Health Center of Sichuan province settled in Wenjiang’s Shangyi International Square is a key project for Chengdu’s medical industry. Cao Xuetao and Qiang Boqin toured the center to learn more details about the project’s development and gave high praise to the district’s investment environment and science research progress.

The Mental Health Center of Sichuan province has set up a center for mental disease control and prevention, a training center, a recovery management center, and an inpatient department with over 500 patient beds.

Cao and Qiang both showed their expectations for the future development environment of Chengdu Medical City. They hoped to see future cooperation between Wenjiang district and the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chinese Academy of Sciences, which will support Wenjiang with more worldwide projects and innovative talents to help build a medical city in Wenjiang.
