Heping Road, Yuzhong District

It was called Peitang Street, Wufu Street, Jinyutang Street and Zouma Street, and was converted into a road in 1945 and named Heping, to indicate the desires of people for peace.

Datong Road, Yuzhong District

It was called Niupidang. In 1939, it was renamed Nvshixiao Street because of the seat of Chongqing Women’s Normal College there; the road was broadened in 1940 and included part of the Ranjiaxiang; and then it was renamed “Datong,” with the meaning of “world commonwealth”.
