This was the second time that Lee Chong Wei came to Wansheng District, Chongqing.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) --On April 23rd, the final of the 2016-2017 “Heishangu Cup” International Badminton Championship & the Chinese Association Badminton Tournament was held in Wansheng District. Again, Lee Chong Wei, the legendary badminton player, came all the way to Chongqing to express his support for this competition. He even played with lucky fans for several bouts, offering a very special show for spectators.

It was Lee Chong Wei’s second time to come to Chongqing, the Mountain City. As the distinguished guest of this competition, he arrived at Chongqing Jiangbei Airport at noon of April 22nd and immediately came to Heishangu to meet his fans without rest. He even travelled with fans to the Heishangu scenic spot.

Many fans of Lee Chong Wei showed up at the fans meeting, and some of them made a special trip to Chongqing to cheer for their idol. Lee Chong Wei reciprocated them with man-of-the-people style, taking photos with and giving signatures to fans. He took the initiative to add a question and answer session.

Lee Chong Wei came to Wuhan to take part in the Asian Championships, during which he would compete with Lin Dan, his constant and cherished rival. When it came to the 39th competition between him and Li Dan, he said that he would exert himself to the utmost because the opportunity to compete with Lin Dan, was increasingly rare and precious.
