Individual exhibition of He Shukun held in Chongqing

Citizens were appreciating calligraphy works at the individual exhibition of He Shukun, which was held at Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum.

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The individual calligraphy exhibition of He Shukun opened at Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum on April 27th. Citizens may appreciate over 130 calligraphy works until May 6th for free.

Some calligraphy works of He Shukun, the former Director of Wuhan Customs, were permanently collected by the International Olympic Committee. He has also acquired achievements in several fields including drama, shooting and poetry and published over 100 calligraphy and literary works. In addition, he has been awarded by the National “Five One” Project Award, Cao Yu Drama and Literary Award, China Humanity Award, etc.

Most of the calligraphy works exhibited are created in cursive and grass scripts, taking the forms of long scrolls, striped screens. The magnificent and proficient calligraphy has delivered a strong visual appeal.

He said that he joined the Chinese People’s Liberation Army in 1968 and became a railway solider in Chongqing. He has realized his dream to hold an exhibition in Chongqing, his second hometown. In addition, he also donated 11 calligraphy works including Splendid Southwest China to Chongqing China Three Gorges for their permanent collection.
