CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In addition to bus and self-driving, have you ever thought to go to Ciqikou by water? Recently, it was learned from the Ciqikou Ancient Town Management Committee that they would build a new Ciqikou Wharf at the original wharf site as a berth for the future two-river travel ship. The new wharf is expected to be built at the end of this year.

Ciqikou Wharf is located in the Ciqikou Historical and Cultural Blocks on the bank of Jialing River, reaching Jinbi Bridge Water Guanyin line to the north and Qingshui River Qingshuimen Square to the south. The design of wharf will be mainly based on the natural beach and multi-layer river-viewing platforms will be formed by making use of the altitude differences. Besides, the history and culture of Ciqikou wharf will be displayed in the form of rock carvings. The designed wharf landscape area is 12,000m2, with a landscaped area in an extended area of 115,600m2.

After completion, the Ciqikou Wharf will play the role of distribution hub for the two-river travel. During the storage period from every October to March next year, tourist ships will berth at and sail from Ciqikou Wharf.
