CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Hometown Memories, a book about the last century of Chongqing history was created with the participation of over 100 Chongqing citizens. It was published the other day and is getting lots of attention.

The book was jointly planned by the 5C Group and In Time Bookbar. Through the online collection activity began in 2016 and last for one year, almost 300 valuable old photos and 124 stories composed by over 200,000 words have been collected.

The book is divided into three parts focusing on the city, the people and the affection respectively. We may not only see those old streets and buildings that have remained to this day, but also appreciate the lost daily folk life. The stories are contributed by famous directors, writers and cultural scholars as well as ordinary citizens. Reflecting the strong style of Chongqing, the book records the images of the old city, ordinary folk customs and vicissitudes for almost a century.

Lianglukou, Jiaochangkou, Shapingba, Shibati Stairs, Qipaifang at Daping, Footpath of Chongqing, Pipa Mountain... All of these eternal glories in the old city shimmer with their charms in those photos and stories. (Translated by Sun Jiuyang, Fathom Language Limited)
