CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the morning of May 3rd, the Ding-you Chiyou worship ceremony was held in Chiyou Jiulicheng, Peishui County.

At about 9 o’clock, with a great din of drums and pipes as well as oceans of wavering banners, the respected elders of Miao minority conducted their orations while offering three kinds of animals as sacrifices. The folk Chiyou worship ceremony began on the square outside of the hall of Jiulicheng. With measured steps and common belief, flag-bearers walked forward shoulder to shoulder. Hundreds of worshipers, in their traditional Miao clothes, were arranged into a matrix on the square.
