Huang Pei, a local artist, spent 6 months drawing pictures for what she sees on the metro, of nearly 100 passengers.

She graduated from the Environmental Art of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Before drawing such pictures, she was a minor celebrity. In 2013, she drew attention from the public thanks to her pictures about her child’s growth.

Why does she draw pictures for passengers on metro? She said they were very vivid and true.

Due to her work, she has to take Line 1 two or three days per week. She likes drawing figures in natural state. It is a natural state that passengers are not busy, and they relax themselves for a short time on the metro.
