TCM of great power (Ⅲ): the wisdom behind TCM

The leaf in the picture above, ordinary as it seem, is a part of Davidia involucrata, a national first-class protective plant. Each and every part of Davidia involucrata is of significant value in TCM: its root can serve to stop bleeding; its fruit’s peel can clear away heat and toxic materials; and its leaf can fight against insects and even cancer. As with this leaf, many ordinary roots, branches, and leaves in nature can exert their magical curative power in TCM.

Medical herbs are not necessarily hidden in remote mountains with exuberant woods, but can be found everywhere conveniently. Ginger, according to predecessors’ wisdom, is not only an important seasoning but also a highly-efficient medical herb. It has long been a daily medical herb when it comes to treating cold, stomach ache, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
