Chongqing-Helsinki line resumed & to be upgraded in June

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- May 9th will be the fifth anniversary of the Chongqing-Helsinki line offered by Finnair. In the celebration for the fifth anniversary, it was noted that the Chongqing-Helsinki line has resumed on May 4th after a four-month-long suspension for pilot training and some fare sales would be provided. According to Finnair, with the all-round upgrade of this line in June, passengers will be able to enjoy surfing the Internet on Wi-Fi thousands of meters overhead.

The Chongqing-Helsinki line, opened on May 9, 2012, is the first non-stop connection between Chongqing and Europe at the Chongqing Airport. With three or four flights every week and each flight takeing eight and a half hours, this flight uses an Airbus A330.

Representatives in Finnair said that some fare sales, as one of its celebration measures, would be available on the market, among which the tax-inclusive prices for a round-trip ticket from Chongqing to Rome was 3900 yuan and a round-trip ticket from Chongqing to London was 4200 yuan.

According to representatives in Finnair, the Chongqing-Helsinki flight would experience a comprehensive upgrade this June. It will cost passengers 7 euro (about 53 RMB) per hour to surf the Internet through Wifi on the airplane. Passengers can purchase commodities at Finnair’s online shopping mall and pay for their purchases using Alipay by scanning corresponding OR codes.
