CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The Three Gorges Square Management Committee reported that the high-profile Three Gorges Square transformation project would be completed soon. In the middle of this month, part of the waterscape will be opened to the public.

Nearly 100 meter long water system ground

Last October, Shapingba District started the Three Gorges Square waterscape transformation project by combining waterscape and dry landscape. The water system vein at the Three Gorges Square is retained, but the original impressive landmarks like Chaotianmen, Love Bridge and rock carvings are transformed, and new natural and human landscapes along the Three Gorges are added. On the original 100m long water system ground, 12 famous sceneries from Chaotianmen to the Three Gorges Dam basin are revealed in the form of relief sculptures to enhance the historic feeling at the Three Gorges Square.

At the start end of the Three Gorges Square waterscape, the Chaotianmen city walls are built and twelve famous scenes of Three Gorges are presented on the walls: Chaotianmen, Fulin Beiyan Inscriptions, Fengdu Ghost Stone Carving, Zhongxian Shibaozhai, Wanzhou Three Gorges Immigrant Culture, Yunyang Zhang Fei Temple, Fengjie Baidicheng, Wushan Twelve Mountain Peaks, Badong Boat Tracker Song, Zigui Qu Yuan Hometown, Nanjinguan Three Gorges Families and Yichang Gezhou Dam.

At present, the waterscape project enters in the final finishing state and part of it will be opened in the middle of this month.
