Postscript: About Beicang

During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, 13 national large-scale cotton mills moved to Chongqing, so Chongqing was the main textile base at that time. By the end of the 1990s, enterprises were confronted with restructuring, so the warehouses of main urban areas went out of action, and some even moved. The Chongqing Jiangbei Textile Warehouse was the last remaining one. After over ten year’s being empty, Beicang is now a cultural and creative block, and it is to be made a cultural high point with artisan spirit without any change to its appearance.
