Painting and calligraphy exhibition of Anti-Japanese War generals’ descendants

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On May 10, the 6th Chongqing – Taiwan Art - Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Anti-Japanese War Generals’ Descendants was held at the Chongqing Three Gorges Museum. The works of Yang Exi (a famous professor of traditional Chinese painting from Taiwan) and Li Dahuai (a famous calligrapher living in Chongqing) were exhibited. This exhibition is will close on May 25.

Yang Exi is a disciple of Chinese painting master Zhang Daqian. She is a master of bird-and-flower painting from Taiwan and has held several personal exhibitions in Taipei, the US, Australia, Malaysia and other places, all welcomed by the public.

The 6th Chongqing – Taiwan Art - Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition of Anti-Japanese War Generals’ Descendants was held at Chongqing Three Gorges Museum.

Li Dahuai, who is now living in Chongqing, was also invited. His father was a famous General in the Anti-Japanese War. Li Dahuai now acts as the Honorary President of Painting and Calligraphy Academy of China, Deputy President of China Painting and Calligraphy Artist Association and has been awarded as “World Cultural Celebrity”, “Chinese Doctor of Art”, “Lifetime Honorary Professor of Painting and Calligraphy Academy of Taipei Palace” and so on.

Nearly one hundred classic works of the famous artists were presented. Their styles were different. They expressed their love for life with brush, ink and painting and contributed to the traditional national culture. (Translated by Li Li, Fathom Language Limited)
