CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- A bookstore is the symbol of a cities culture. A good example is a special bookstore at Zhongshan Fourth Road in Yuzhong District, Chongqing.

The bookstore provides books on geography, maps, travel, transportation, film, humanity and others and is a platform for geography lovers. Many people share maps, geography information, travel notes, photos and travel strategies here. It is Chongqing Geography Bookstore - the first bookstore based on geography in southwest China.

Connect cultures with geography

Located at No. 70, Zhongshang Fourth Road, Chongqing Geography Bookstore is not large but has a distinctive theme.

According to Zhang Haipeng, the manager, the bookstore was founded in December 2010 and was the first to be based on geography in southwest China. From the tellurian droplight to maps and books on geography, the bookstore is filled with atmosphere of geography culture.

The bookstore is divided into the “Business Zone,” with books and magazines of geography, maps, travel, transportation, film, humanity and others sold and a “Communication Zone” with books for free reading.

Besides the books mentioned above, there is an area for selling old books. Many geography lovers put their collected books there for selling or reading. Out-of-print books may also be found there.
