Learn about “Made in Italy” at Chongqing Science and Technology Museum

Models exhibited on the spot

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Accordion made over 100 years ago, wine bottles full of sense of design and classic FILA T-shirts… The theme exhibition “Great Industrial Games! 50+! Articles Creating the History of Italian Enterprises” was opened at Chongqing Science and Technology Museum. Chongqing citizens may learn about the culture and history of Italy through the 54 sets of panels and 8 models.

The enterprises involved in the exhibition cover several fields, including food, spinning, automobiles and motorcycles and furniture, and the panels are arranged in chronological order. An accordion dated “1863” has attracted numerous visitors. According to the texts on the panel, the first Italian accordion was made at Castelfidardo in 1863.

Sergio Maffettone, the Consul General of Italy in Chongqing, stated at the opening ceremony that this is an exhibition really representing “Made in Italy”. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing and the Chongqing Association for Science and Technology and will last until July 12th. Citizens may visit the exhibition at the temporary exhibition hall on the 1st floor of Block A of Chongqing Science and Technology Museum for free.
