CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- There are many activities in Liangjiang Film City for you to experience the charm of old Chongqing, such as taking rickshaws, listening to local stories, and rambling through old streets and architectures. Now, another activity will be available to visitors—hydrangea appreciation. According to the management committee of Liangjiang New Area, spates of hydrangea have been introduced into Liangjiang Film City. Between May 20 and June 18, a series of hydrangea appreciation activities will be conducted. Then, citizens can closely appreciate various kinds of more than 30,000 hydrangeas.

Hydrangea’s flower season is between May and August, during which June and July are its full-bloom stage. Some kinds of hydrangeas can even blossom in September. Its petals cluster on the top of its branches, turning from preliminary light green to blue or pink. As it resembles a ball made of strips of silk, it is called hydrangea.

At present, half of these colorful hydrangeas have blossomed, and some in their early stages are light green. Hydrangea will enter its full-bloom stage next week.

During the “Hydrangea Exhibition” from May 20 to June 18, Liangjiang Film City will hold some celebration activities, such as “Wedding Tours”, “Free Karaoke at Night”, and “Roasting Whole-lamb around Bonfire”.
