Bailong Waterfall in Daning River, Wuxi County 巫溪大宁河白龙过江瀑布

Situated in the Hemiao Valley of Daning River, Wuxi County, it resembles a white dragon crossing the river and is called “The Pearl Curtains” as well. It descends from the cliffs along the western bank, looking like an agile white dragon flying over Daning River, 100-meters wide. It is impressive and colorful. The rare spectacle of “waterfalls flying over the valley and boats going forward under the waterfalls” is an feast for the eye you don’t want to miss.

When there is insufficient water, it will fall in the center of river, splashing water curtains in all directions. It is called “white dragon crossing half of the river”. Both the above-mentioned spectacles are few and far between, and it is no wonder that some long-time boatmen on this river have never witnessed such spectacles.
