1.Jinfo Mountain, Nanchuan district

During April and May, its azalea ocean, covering an area of 200,000 mu, will put forth their blossoms gradually—those at the foot of mountain will be the first to show their beauty while those at the summit will bloom last. The most colorful scenery in the mountain city can appeal to thousands of visitors annually. Azaleas in Jinfo Mountain are unique in their rich varieties and forms, some of which cannot be seen elsewhere. No matter if you take cable cars, ramble through cliff pathways, or visit the azalea park, an eye feast of azaleas are available to you.

2.Hongchiba, Wuxi County

Situated in the northeast of Wuxi County and having an average sea level of 2,000 meters, it has long been famous for its alpine ecological scenery. And the azalea ocean recently discovered undoubtedly adds to its charm. It boasts of the largest area of alpine primordial pink azaleas. In May, more than 60,000 azaleas will put forth their blossoms, which resemble a pink silk band stretching along the mountain slope. The combination of pink flowers, green pastures, and blue sky inspire visitors to admire the beauty of nature.

3.Baima Mountain, Wulong County

As the earliest “biological gene bank” of Wulong County, Baima Mountain is home to more than 27 varieties of azaleas. Whenever the red azaleas, white azaleas, and purple azaleas put forth their blossoms, they can combine with some unknown wild flowers to make a beautiful picture. Azaleas compete with each other in blossoms. Looking afar, you will feel as if you were seeing “fire oceans”. And the most impressive sceneries of azaleas can be observed in Jiufeng Mountain and Baoyanxiong.

4.Tieshanping Forest Park, Jiangbei district

The “azalea ocean” in Tieshanping Forest Park is a new scenic spot, providing services such as azalea appreciation, scenery appreciation, and taking a walk. There are more than 30,000 azaleas from over 50 varieties at home and aboard. In addition, some seasonal plants such as photinia serrulata and common nandina are scattered among them.
