The education authority of Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, has announced to implement a demonstration project for education informationization in this year.

By the end of the 13th Five Year Plan (2016－20), Xi’an will assign 100 schools as models for education informationization innovation, based on a ranking of teacher and student information literacy and exemplary applications of informationization.

The project will include four stages – application, selection, demonstration and evaluation. Shortlisted schools are expected to take a lead in research and promote innovation, focusing on the integration of information technology and education, education methods, applications of education informationization and resource sharing among universities.
