Works jointly made by Peng Jionghui and Deng Yu

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Recently, "Chongqing 重庆", a video covering many local landmarks such as the Grand Theater, Eighteen Stairs, and Communication Teahouse, has gone viral on WeChat. As of 3 P.M. on May 22, the total number of hits had exceeded 100,000.

This video was created by two undergraduates, Peng Jionghui and Deng Yu. They did not unexpect the huge applause and excitement generated by the video.

They had never spoken to each other before this collaboration.

They are seniors at Chongqing Technology and Business University, majoring in graphic design. Peng Jionghui is from Jiangxi province, and Deng Yu is a Chongqing native.

Their graduation projects focus on the natural sceneries and folk daily life unique to Chongqing. “We want to express our love toward Chongqing in our work,” Peng Jionghui said. They are from different classes in the same major. “We had never spoken to each other during past four years before this collaboration,” Peng Jionghui added. They chose the same graduation project theme, and, under the suggestion of their teachers, finally decided to collaborate with each other.

They started their videography in early April. With the passage of time, their collaboration went on smoothly and the tacit understanding between them accumulated.
