CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- “They completely restored the old houses of Chongqing, including dwellings, old Shibati, Xiahao Lane, so vivid.” Recently, the works made by students of Chongqing Vocational College of Culture and Arts sparked heated debates and fame online. It is reported that such works are the homework of students majoring in “Stage Design and Manufacturing”.
Zhang Xueyuan, a freshman, said that his work was restored according to the photo of Shibati and the scene found. He added other elements to the work based on those.
The old dwellings consisted of asbestos tiles made of plastic plates, a telegraph pole made of plasters, electric wires and guard bar made of iron wires in different sizes, and faded wooden blocks. Such models are very fine and vivid, the doodles and notifications on the wall are very clear and even you can clearly see the contents in the notifications.
Such works have been displayed at Floor 3 of the building for several days. There are over ten models displayed, including dwellings of Shibati, and of old Xiahao Street.
“They did not major in modeling. We just let them apply materials and props through this homework,” explained by Lv Lin, Leader of the Teaching and Research Group of Stage Design and Manufacturing. There are not majored in a hot specialty. The “Stage Design and Manufacturing” major is planned for two academic years only. Until now, there are 24 freshmen, 25 sophomores, and no graduates in this major. (Translated by Liu Hongyan, Fathom Language Limited)
