More than 120 little chess players took "tag match" with the world champion

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- What it would feel like to compete with a world champion? On August 2, the Chongqing session of the National Chess and Card Game -- holding ten thousand players at the same time was held in the Chongqing Gymnasium. The event also begins the activities of Chongqing "National Fitness Week". On the competition spot, more than one hundred young players competed with world champions Tan Xiao and Xu Yuhua, attracting many fans.
The contest was organized by the Chess and Card Sports Center of China General Administration of Sport. On the same day, more than 30 provincial capital cities in China held various forms of chess and card games, attracting thousands of audiences, which is the reason of "thousands of players participate in the competition at the same time".
At 9 o'clock am, more than 120 child players, varying in age from 6 to 12, were waiting for the competition to begin. Several famous chess players attended the contest and did a “tag match” with the young players. The pro players included Grand Slam player Xu Yuhua, world chess champion Huang Qian, a member of Chongqing Chess Team Wang Chen and the new world champion 9-dan-players from Chongqing Weiqi Team, Tan Xiao and Xie He.
