One of the largest cliff carvings—Dazu Rock Carvings

The Dazu Rock Carvings were created at the end of the Tang Dynasty. The most famous carvings are Baoding Mountain and Beishan Mountain. The Dazu Rock Carvings are well-known ancient rock carving art of China, which were listed in the World Cultural Heritage book in 1999.

Chongqing Dazu Rock Carvings even can be considered representative of rock carvings from the later period in China. The beautiful Thousand-arm Guanyin carving is praised as the most previous national treasure.

The largest indoor gilded Cliffside Buddha—Tongnan Giant Buddha

Tongnan Giant Buddha is located under Dingming Mountain in the northwest of Tongnan County. There are four ancient buildings of wood construction. The cliffside gilded Buddha at the scenic pot is 27m high. It is the largest gilded Buddha in China and the eighth largest in the world.

Huangjueping Graffiti Art Street, located in Jiulongpo District, extends over 1.25km from Huangjueping Railway Hospital to 501 Art Database. Its total area is about 50,000m2. It is the largest graffiti artwork group in China and the world.
