Wenjiang based enterprise donates to schools in disaster area

WuXi AppTec, which has recently opened a new branch enterprise in Wenjiang, donated 800,000 yuan ($119,317) to rural schools in Maoxian county, Sichuan province, where a landslide occurred on June 24.

The offer was made through Chengdu Charity Federation during a visit to the area on Aug 7.

Liu Yongchang, executive vice president of Chengdu Charity Federation, expressed gratitude to the enterprise. He promised that the federation will maintain openness and transparency in disbursing the donation.

Jing Renzhi, deputy director of Wenjiang district, praised the company for upholding its coperate social responsibility. He also stressed that Wenjiang would continue to introduce outstanding enterprises and improve the charity platform.
